Mars Academy

Mars Academy, nestled within the futuristic expanse of the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum, is a celestial odyssey inviting young explorers to embark on a journey into the captivating realm of space. Visitors imagine themselves as cadets aboard a space vessel, reporting to Mission Control as they embark on their interstellar adventure.

The intrepid crew members immerse themselves in daily space rituals to maneuver through the rigors of life on Mars: managing personal hygiene routines, calculating their Mars-weight, and even simulating the snug confines of a sleep sack to experience life in zero gravity.

The adventure continues as cadets delve into flying over the red planet’s terrain, servicing Mars terrain vehicles and scrutinizing intriguing geological samples collected from the Martian surface. They envision themselves on a journey of discovery, setting foot on uncharted Martian landscapes, and engaging in a plethora of hands-on, interactive exhibits and programming designed to ignite their curiosity and fuel their imaginations.

The Mars Academy exhibit offers a stimulating environment where curiosity takes flight, and the voyage into the cosmos becomes an unforgettable educational escapade.

The Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum contains 7,685 square feet of exhibits and programming for both the young and young-at-heart on four acres meticulously crafted through a filter of excitement and education.
